Go Home Date

Puppies need time to nurse, grow and develop with their mother and litter mates before they can join their new families. A newborn puppy should stay with their breeder, mom and siblings as they develop physically and gain new social skills until they reach 8 weeks old before going to their new homes !

Our experience as Golden Retriever Breeders the golden retriever is even-tempered, intelligent and affectionate. The English Cream Golden Retriever puppies for sale are playful, yet gentle with children, and they tend to get along well with other pets and strangers.

The breed's friendly, tolerant attitude makes them great family pets, and their intelligence makes them highly capable working dogs. Golden Retrievers excel at retrieving game for hunters, tracking, sniffing out contraband for law enforcement, and as therapy and service dogs.  It’s no secret: golden retrievers are practically perfect, so much so that you can’t help but smile as soon as you see one. Chances are, because they’re smiling right back. Goldens are loyal, happy, fun-loving, caring and intelligent, and bring laughter and joy to anyone and everyone — whether it’s their person or a random person happening by. What’s not to love?

They like to cuddle

They can sense when you're troubled or require a much-needed snuggle so unless you need someone to actually talk to, golden retrievers make for the ideal companion if all you want is to hunker down in comfortable silence.

They’re eager to please

These dogs love to please their human companions so if that adoration is reciprocated with praise and affection, they'll be putty in your hand.

They’re easy to train

Among the smartest dog breeds, goldens love to learn and please so aside from basic obedience training, they're also good for tricks like putting away their toys, earning the names of different items and fetching them. Go on, show off your intelligent golden retriever. You know you want to.

They’re gentle giants

Golden retrievers are big in size and with that comes a lot of energy. But they are also surprisingly gentle. They have a sweet and gentle temperament that makes them among the best family pets to have, as well as therapy and service dogs. So they're pretty much perfect angels.

They’re not barky

They maybe large, athletic and cheerful but despite their enthusiasm, they're also quiet and chill — even golden retriever puppies. So if you're hoping for a guard dog, goldens aren't for you. Now, if lovable and and engaging is a must, then you're welcome.

They’ll get you out and about

You know those lazy days where you know you should get off your couch and do something productive? Golden retrievers ensure that happens. Because even if you're not disciplined enough to go for a walk, the doggo is. Ideally, they need to walk for at least an hour a day (though they'll happily go for longer) so they'll keep you in decent health. Really, they just want you around longer.

They get along with other animals

Golden retrievers get on swimmingly with other pets, be it other dogs, cats or rabbits. As long as they're getting equal time and sufficient socialization, they're more than happy to share the love, making for a harmonious household.

They’re confident as hell

Their demeanor says it all: calm, friendly and easy-going. Combine that with their regal stature and the way they hold their heads up and the swagger with which they walk and, oh yeah, golden retrievers got it going on.

They’re hopelessly devoted

Maybe it's those sad puppy dog eyes but golden retrievers have what seems like an infinite capacity for love and will show you any chance it gets, whether they're greeting you as soon as he/she hears your keys in the door or sitting at your feet when you're feeling sad. They just get it and while they are friendly with everyone, you will always come first. Let's be real, they're a dog breed that will make your day.

These dogs are great swimmers

Love a dip in the lake or pool? So do these doggies. Golden retrievers have webbed feet to help them swim more efficiently across a body of water. This breed does especially well with swimming. Nature is amazing, eh?

They are great for road trips

From hanging out while you work from home to road trips, golden retrievers are an adaptable breed. They aren't fussy and won't throw a fit if you pivot from your plans or routine. They're always down for a good adventure.

They can help your mental health

Like other dogs, sleeping with your golden can result in reduced anxiety and depression, according to science. But what makes this breed best for the snoozes, is their cuddly and affectionate nature. They act as a furry, big, breathing pillow that can help heal you while you're deep in a REM cycle.

They are NEVER fun-suckers

This adorable breed will almost never say no to a game of fetch or dog play. Golden retrievers are always up for fun — with all members of the fam. They're gentle with the young and can keep up with the active.

They can sniff out all the things

But actually. With their long snouts and perfect muzzles, golden retrievers are excellent sniffers. They have a good sense of smell. If you can't find that half a sandwich — they'll be able to lead you to it.

That face, though

If for no other reason (though we think we've made more than a concrete argument), LOOK AT THEM. So, so pretty. From their piercing eyes that pull you in and look into your soul, to their sweet, kind disposition, they are simply irresistible.
